Peyronie’s Disease:

Peyronie’s Disease (pay-row-KNEES) is acquired in adult life rather than at birth (like hypospadias). Men with Peyronie’s disease usually seek medical attention because of painful erections and difficulty with intercourse.

Peyronie’s Disease is caused by the formation of hard plaque on the upper or lower side of the penis. The plaque forms in layers containing erectile tissue. The local inflammation eventually develops into a full scar. This scar tissue is hard and inflexible, and causes the penis to bend when erect. The effects of this bend are far less noticeable when the penis is in a flaccid state.

The time taken for production of a mature sperm is around 72-90 days. Sperm production is done 24/7 by the body. There exist many factors which can disturb this natural phenomenon. Some of them are: Excessive Caffeine, Illness, Certain Prescription Drugs, Stress, Over the counter medications, Blockage in Vas Deferens, Testicle Injury, Vitamin Deficiencies and Excessive Heat.

Dry Skin on Your Penis?

The skin on your genital area is also similar to the skin of the other parts of your body. As with dryness on other skin surfaces, genital skin dryness can be easily treated. There is no need for extra alarm.

People find it alarming though because they associate this condition with sexually transmitted diseases. STDs, however, are an entirely different set of diseases involving the genitalia. However, when dry skin appears on a regular basis, you need to avail of medical treatment. This may indicate more serious skin and genital condition.
